The Areca Palm provides a non-toxic and eco-friendly alternative to disposable plastic tableware. Each piece is unique in texture, colour and pattern and can be composted at home to help reduce waste. Well suited to a variety of special events and occasions ranging from parties, functions and celebrations through to festivals or camping. Sustainably manufactured in India a leaf falls down from the Palm Tree where it is collected, washed, cleaned and then steam pressed into a mould. 100% bio-degradable and compostable the Areca Palm Leaf range of tableware will easily break down in soil and does not require commercial composting facilities. Once buried they will biodegrade naturally within 6 to 12 weeks. Palm leaf tableware is leak proof and able to withstand both hot and cold temperatures. Pre-prepared items can be frozen and refrigerated or heated in the microwave for up to 2 minutes and up to 45 minutes at 180 degrees in the oven. It is recommended to have them at least 6" inches away from the heat source.
